BULGARIAN BACKROADS:  TOWN OF TRIGRAD

Trigrad is a small village picturesquely nested on the rocks of the mountain. The guests could decide either to visit the Yagodinska cave - one of the longest caves in the country with its strange rock shapes, or to climb up the gorgeous Haramiyska cave. They may also decide to descend to the bottom of the Devil's gorge cave. In this cave is the biggest cascade of waterfalls on the Balkan Peninsula, with a total height of 60m. According to the legend this is the place where Orpheus went down into the kingdom of spectres, in search of his beloved Euridica. The place offers: fishing, walking in the green meadows and beautiful hills, bird watching where you will have the chance to see some rare species not seen anywhere else but there.
