Tours start at 8.30pm and finish at 10.00pm.

Tickets can be purchased from the Petra Site Office at the entrance to the site. Allow yourself plenty of time to walk through the Siq, you don't want to miss the show. One of the Noor Al Hussein Foundation's most prominent income generation initiatives for empowering women that continued to progress/evolve for 14 years had been the National Handicraft Development Project. The Project was successful in preserving traditional handicrafts and creating income for women in remote and rural areas. Through the Jordan Design and Trade Center (JDTC), the program had established nine income-generating handicraft centers, provided product development, technical expertise, and linkages to local and international markets, thus creating over 2000 job opportunities for women.

In summer 2004, JDTC’s showroom and its initiated handcraft projects were turned over to women-led cooperatives, while the Foundation’s Cooperatives Unit maintains indirect support to these enterprises.
