Why Medan?

Medan is a dynamic provincial capital and is the largest city in Sumatra, or the third largest in Indonesia, after Jakarta and Surabaya. It is an enticing multi-ethnic city. The majority of the people are Batak who also mixed with Indian and Chinese. The number is quite significant in Medan, about 25% of total inhabitants. Various ethnics and religions exist in this seaport city, proven by the total numbers of mosques, churches, and Chinese temples across the city.

Where is Medan?

Medan, the capital of North Sumatra is located on Sumatra Island, with an area reaching 71,680 square kilometers, adjacent to the Province of Aceh at the north, and the West Sumatra and Riau in the South.

ITINERARY

Day 1

MEDAN - PARAPAT (D)

Greeting service at Polonia Airport by our guide, leave Medan for Parapat - Lake Toba (one of the largest lakes in the world) en route pass palm oil, cocoa, rubber, tea, clove and cinnamon plantation. At Pematang Siantar we visit: Kwam Im Temple, & paten shop. The tour proceeds to Parapat for overnight stay.

Day 2

PARAPAT - SAMOSIR - BRASTAGI (B,L,D)

After breakfast an exciting cruise tour on a ferry boat to Samosir island, visit to Tomok village where the stone tomb of King Sidabutar was found, then to Ambarita Village, in the former domain of the ancient Siallagan Kingdom, visit the stone palace of Raja Siallagan and the place where he tortured and executed his enemies to death. After lunch at Parapat, we leave Lake Toba for Brastagi (Karo Highlands) en route visit to Simarjarunjung, Simalungun Batak Long House called "Rumah Bolon" at Pematang Purba and Sipisopiso Waterfall, arrive in Brastagi for visit to Gundaling Hill where you can see 2 (two) still active volcanoes Mt. Sibayak & Mt. SInabung, and Fruit Market. Checks in at the hotel. Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 3

BRASTAGI - MEDAN (B/L/D)

After breakfast Leave Brastagi for Medan via a mountaineous road. Medan city tour visit to Maimoon Palace, Grand Mosque and Shooping Centre. Checks in at the hotel after dinner at a Local restaurant.

Day 4

HOTEL - AIRPORT (B)

After breakfast free program until time for transfer to airport.
