A short boat ride away from Donsol is Ticao Island, where there is plenty of opportunity to do a lot of great diving. The two main diving areas are the Manta Bowl Shoal and San Miguel Island. The Manta Bowl Shoal is an underwater atoll which covers a 7 to 8 hectare flat area and houses 5 different dive sites which is known for the manta ray sightings and the occasional visit of whale sharks, threshers sharks, hammerheads, and other sharks, rays, and pelagics. San Miguel is located on the northern part of Ticao Island, about 45 minutes by boat away from Manta Bowl. The dive sites here showcase a variety of marco critters and coral gardens.
