Our
guests can enjoy one of our special programs 9 days in 3 places. You can
spend three days in each of the following three places.

From
wherever you start still will enjoy the same entertainments. Here is an
exemplary itinerary.
Day
1 - 3: Village of Dolen
Walk around the village meeting local
people and visit some homes, visit the old church (1834) with its
spiritual atmosphere and the beautiful murals and icons; a workshop on
preparing traditional and local food, ritual breads or weaving, an
option is a hike to one or more of the Thracian sanctuaries around (30
min, 1 hour or 2 hour walk), visit the gorgeous Dospat lake (by car),
hike to St. Ilia chapel in the mountain (1 hour 30 minutes hike) and a
picnic.
The
trip to Kovachevitsa village can be made on foot for those who would
like to hike for 6 - 7 hours following a very beautiful route in the
Rhodope mountain.
Day
4 - 6: Village of Kovachevitsa
Visit
the oldest Turnovo church (the place where the first settlers built it)
and the St. George chapel with a stunning view to the valley an the
Roman road (an hour of easy walk); a walk along the river and a picnic
at the most picturesque natural phenomenon "The Blue Pool" (2
hours easy walk); visit the Thracian sanctuary and an ancient
observatory "Kozi Kamuk" in the mountains (by car).
Day
7 - 9: Town of Melnik
Wine
tasting, picking grapes (depends on the month of the visit); visit to
the house of Kordopolus; visit to the Rozhen monastery a real jewel of
the 17 - 18 c. Bulgarian culture 97 km ride and/or walk); visit the
Rupite - a volcanic site with mineral springs and considered one of the
most healing and spiritual places 920 km ride).
The
package includes: 9 nights and all meals, drinks included; picnic food
and drinks, local people as guides; and all activities included in the
itinerary.
