DAY 1 SIEM REAP – KOH KER

This morning, we leave Siem Reap at 8am for Beng Mealea, traveling on the Phnom Kulen road. Arrive Beng Mealea at 10am and visit the temple for one hour. Leave Beng Mealea for Angkor quarry on the road to Svay Leu. Stop in Svay Leu for an early lunch. Leave Svay Leu around 12.30pm for Siyong. Continue to Koh Ker, arriving about 4.30pm. Accommodation at your tent.

DAY 2 KOH KER – TBENG MEANCHEY

See sunrise at Koh Ker and take some more time to explore the temple in proper detail. Leave Koh Ker about 8.30am and head to Kulen and on to Tbeng Meanchey in time for a late lunch. In the afternoon visit the silk farm at Tbeng Meanchey and a boat trip on the Stung Sen if time permitting. Accommodation at basic guesthouse.

DAY 3 TBENG MEANCHEY – PREAH VIHEAR

Depart from Tbeng Meanchey for Preah Vihear temple. Take a lunch stop at the roundabout for the turnoff to Preah Vihear and then arrange the jeep to the top. If possible make this a smooth transfer with no wait time by radioing for the jeep from the roundabout or ringing ahead to book. This should get you to the temple itself as early as 3.30pm with some time to begin exploring and setting up the tents in the light.

DAY 4 PREAH VIHEAR – RETURN TO SIEM REAP

Sunrise at the temple and another look around for photo opportunities in the morning light. Then hit the road about 8am before the rest of the tourists start arriving. Lunch in Anlong Veng and back to Siem Reap by early evening.
